You may have heard this term thrown out at captain meetings in the past, but "The Naughty List" is essentially the List of Teams/T-shirts at the captain meeting that corresponds to teams that have not completed the obligatory requirements to successfully pick up their team t-shirts. Those captains get to wait in line after the captain meeting to meet with Ryan to finalize/clarify past due items in relation to their team.
What we're looking for/ How to stay out of the naughty pile:
Waivers - You need sufficient waiver signatures to be able to field a team.
Payments - You're all settled up on team payments.
Why you could be in the naughty pile:
You completed past due items after we pulled the list
Insufficient Waivers associated with your team.
Remaining balance is past due
Could be related to unknown sponsor
Could be related to unknown sponsor amount.
Could be related to needing to submit cash/check payments
Other reasons you may need to wait in line to see us:
You overpaid, we're slowly implementing precautions down the road to help prevent this, but sometimes we'll need to reimburse you or write you a refund check.
You think we're swell and just want to chat us up (we prefer that you do this after the line is gone).
Benefits of not having to wait in line:
As soon as the meeting ends, we call your name and you can get your shirts and go.
You can order a drink at the bar
You can order and eat food or snack on some of the light muchies we have provided.
We'll think you're awesome, as much as we want to meet everyone, the less we all have to do the better.
Everyone else in line isn't mad at you for being ahead of them in line.
Our goal is to help keep your team out of the naughty pile.
E-mail us immediately if you're unsure of your team's naughty list status.
Arriving early to avoid the line is not suggested as we'll be busy un-boxing and putting shirts in the naughty pile.
However, feel free to arrive early and have a drink, which could allow sufficient time to drive home responsibly with your shirts in the back seat.
