CANDID KLOR COMMENTS (FEB '14 - OCT '14)
Candid KLOR Comments is something new we're going to be trying out for 2014. It's an informal frequently updated article regarding what's going on up in our head(s).

The latest update will always be listed at the top, so here goes:

10/16/2014 2:12 PM
We're waiting to post official game times & fields for Saturday as any postponement on Thurs or Fri could drastically change the Saturday schedule.
As of right now, the plan for Saturday playoffs (at Crittenden) is the following:
  • Mondays - all first games would begin at 8:30am
  • Tuesdays - first games would start at either 8:30am or 9:30am
  • Wednesdays -  first games would start at either 8:30am or 9:30am
  • Thursdays - first games would start at either 10:30am or 11:30am
  • Fridays - all first games would start at 11:30am
If postponements do not happen on Thursday or Friday night, please note that the above plan for game times could fluctuate by an hour(give or take).
We should have a better idea of the forecast on Friday AM.

The last of the championship game(s) (Thurs/Fri) should start around 1:30pm, ending all games around 2:30pm.
Immediately following, plan on joining the Pub Crawl which has a breakdown of the times/locations here:

10/08/2014 2:24 PM
We received this thank you letter from RCSD School #36 who received some of the items donated from the annual Summer Pub Crawl's School Supplies Drive. Where Kickballers donated all items in the below image, but also (not pictured) 25 book bags, 13 binders, and 60 more glue sticks. Thank You Kickballers!!!

9/23/2014 4:53 PM
Car pool if your playing at MooreRd fields tonight, 9/23; the parking lot is being resurfaced, sorry for the delay, just found out... Affected teams have been notified.

9/12/2014 12:38 PM
We're 1 month away from Fall Playoff Week. As it stands now, the top 4 teams from each division should be advancing (assuming Mother Nature continues to play nicely); that's 16 teams each night.
Forfeit scores will be entered in before brackets are finalized. Tie breakers for the standings Head to Head first, then Runs Allowed, then Runs For.

8/24/2014 5:44 PM
Fall Captains Meeting is tonight!!! See you there!

8/8/2014 3:04 PM
Summer Playoff Brackets & Seeds will be posted shortly. Seedings/Standings are NOT official until they are posted on the individual Playoff Bracket Articles. The top 8 teams from each division (32 teams from each night) will advance to playoffs (160 teams total). Teams in playoffs should start planning to be available on Sat 8/23 for the remainder of playoffs as well as the Summer Pub Crawl.

Fall Registration has ended, however there is a waiting list, so e-mail us if you're interested. The T-Shirt Design has been decided. Fall payments are due by Friday 8/15. Fall Captains meeting is Sun, 8/24 (we accidently wrote Sat, 8/24  in the registration e-mail; which isn't a real date). So yea, it's Sunday the 24th. Meeting times are at 6pm or 8pm, separated by shirt color; detailed shortly.

7/8/2014 11:59 AM
Oh... and Fall Registration will most likely open on this Sunday (July 13th) at 6:00pm... We'll send out an e-mail soon.

7/8/2014 11:58 AM
The Wednesday Schedule for 7/9 & 7/16 will be updated shortly, Plan on a double header on one of these two days with 2nd games beginning as late at 8:15.
Also, info for the Super Kickball Game at Ten Ugly Men has been posted. Its $5 a person (which includes your shirt if ordered by 7/17), plus your $25 Ten Ugly Men Festival Entry Fee. Check it out!!!

7/1/2014 11:06 AM
Ok, so the Ten Ugly Men Kickball Tournament Info was posted late last night. We apologize immensely for the delay. The major reduction in Ticket Prices this year caused some issues with getting everything finalized. We stuck with the July 1 registration date as noted on The Ten Ugly Men website so again we're sorry for the delay in getting all this info out to you. The good news is, the cost per player for the Kickball Tournament is $15 cheaper than last year... That's right... $15 cheaper per person... On top of that we're adding Super Kickball to the day of events, it will begin immediately after the first two rounds of the tournament completes. Teams who lose both of their first two games of the tournament will have automatic entry on a per per person basis into Super Kickball. So in theory, it's $15 cheaper and you can get at least 3 games to play in instead of 2. Super Kickball Info will be coming shortly.

6/20/2014 2:23 PM
Well, "No News" lately is "Good News" as far as whether goes, but we figure it's about time to update everyone with a few plans as we progress out of June and into July. So what's up with Ten Ugly Men?... Well, with all the positive feedback we've received from Super Kickball, on top of hearing that some players still want to do a Tournament... We're thinking that we'll combine the best of both worlds and do both. The tentative plan is to put a cap on the number of tournament teams which will still start early AM as usual so that all games can fit in with the space we're allotted at GVP Main. It'll be the standard Double Elimination Tourney style like we've done in the past. Now here's the kicker... Teams that get eliminated in their first two games, will automatically be entered into Super Kickball. So, wait... you're telling me that if we lose both our games right away, we still get to play all day in Super Kickball?!? Yup, Exactly. ...But what about the shirt colors for Super Kickball? How's that going to work? Well, we've got you covered. If you're coming from the Tournament, You've already got on an official Ten Ugly Men Kickball Shirt (that fits you) but when you're up to kick or field for Super Kickball, we'll have matching pinnies for you to toss on. Alternatively, you can just register for Super Kickball with your correct size T-shirt, you don't have to wake up as early, and you can have fun with us all day (hopefully in the sun). So how do you register? Well, we're working on logistics for that right now. We just want to let you know what the tentative plan is for this July 26th event in Genesee Valley Park. If you have no idea what Ten Ugly Men is, here's a brief description. It's an annual festival in the park with live music, all you can eat food, a giant slip-n-slide, alcoholic beverage garden (with some drinks included in your ticket price), a kickball tourney, a volleyball tourney, a color run, as well as some other games too.

Other News:

  • The week of July 4th (6/30 - 7/4) there's no kickball in observance of Independence Day Holiday
  • Save the Date for the Summer Pub Crawl, on Aug, 23rd after the Tournament of Champions (approx 2pm - till).
  • Fall Registration will likely open near the middle or end of July - Details TBA

6/9/2014 9:14 AM
Super Kickball went off with a bang yesterday. While attendance was below what we had hoped for, the elimination rounds went for approximately 18 innings, with challenges including dizzy bat spin, wheel barrow race, and a 16ft long 2 team/2 table flip cup game that came down head to head at the end. All players were given 3 chances to stay in the game with the low attendance (which we admit were tough to keep track of), but we finally got down to two final teams after 3 hours where the final 7 inning game took place. In the end, Red ended up beating blue 10-3 in the championship game ending the day's 4 hour kickball extravaganza.

6/5/2014 4:52 PM

Dang it's been a while since we've updated this... well, the Summer Season is well underway. All summer schedules should now be finalized. We'll be sending out a June Kickball News shortly with a whole bunch of information regarding the end of Spring and jumping into Summer. We'll have those Spring championship pictures, up soon and the brackets updated shotrly; as well as all that other tedious stuff that comes along with a season transition. Don't forget about Super Kickball this Sunday. More info about this in the upcoming news e-mail. We're slowly, but rapidly catching up from the past couple of insane kickball weeks we've had here. If you're still waiting for a response to a question shoot us an e-mail reminder as we're slowly going back through our e-mails from early last week, hoping to not miss anything... All Mon, Tues, & Wed scores are up except for one on Monday and the Highland scores on Tuesday, those are coming shortly...

6/2/2014 11:38 PM
The Tuesday Schedule is Posted! Wed thru Fri coming soon...

6/2/2014 6:31 AM
The Monday (only) summer schedule is now posted.... Tuesday thru Friday Schedules coming shortly... thanks for your patience... need to catch a few winks (literally) quick... gotta be up again in an hour...

6/1/2014 10:57 PM
Summer Schedule is coming shortly... Plan to play at 6:15pm or 7:15pm on your night of the week this week.

5/29/2014 3:18 PM
Thursday 29th & Friday 30th doubleheader schedules finalized. Monday & Tuesday seeds finalized. Saturday playoff schedules/times are slowly being finalized. Top 4 teams from all night advance to Saturday. Standings are Win percentage, Head to Head, RA , then RF.

5/29/2014 10:22 AM
Thursday Schedule coming shortly, followed by Friday Schedule... sorry for the delay!!!

5/28/2014 1:46 PM
Spring Playoff Brackets are posted. Teams, times, & fields will be filled in shortly. Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri will play at Crittenden. Wednesdays will play at Highland. There's 75 playoff games to fit in and Crittenden just can't handle that volume. We'd also be there till 8pm which is about 11 or 12 hours of kickball. Ryan will be at Highland/Wed playoffs on Saturday (at the White CanopyTent) & Matt will be at Crittenden (at the Black Canopy Tent). Games will likely start at 8:30 at Highland and 8:00am at Crittenden. Tuesdays & Thursdays Playoff will likely kick off the earliest at Crittenden followed by Monday & Friday playoffs. This will give Friday night teams the ability to sleep in from the night before. More details will be forthcoming but that all the officially unofficial info we can give your right now.

tl dr: Sat Playoffs: Wed @ Highland w/ Ryan (white canopy), the rest at Critt w/ Matt (Black Canopy).
Be ready to play as early as 8am. Mon & Fri by late morning/early afternoon start times

5/27/2014 9:43 PM
Wednesday 5/28 double header schedule is posted. Notifications to come shortly...

5/27/2014 2:56 PM
Minor tweaks to the Tuesday Schedule: GVP Main #05 has been moved to GVP Main #07 (dirt field) as the grass was still too long and a little damp this afternoon on #05. Also, some of the 7:15 games at Crittenden have been shifted to another Crittenden field, and/or had an opponent changed. Notifications coming in a few.

5/27/2014 7:50 AM
Tue schedule is posted, before we send notifications, we just need to confirm Moore Rd 10 & 18 are all set after Rib Fest this past weekend and double check that water is gone at GVP Main. Ellison, Critt & Highland should be good to go.

5/27/2014 9:48 PM
Tue, Wed, Thu, & Fri teams should all plan on double headers this week, the forecast looks great, Ellison is ready again, kickball is about to get reals up in here!

5/23/2014 12:42 PM
Friday Team that responded Yes or Most Likely Can, are now scheduled for 1 game at either 6:15 or 7:15. Had to nix the double headers as Ellison is confirmed to be not quite ready yet, on top the the standing water at GVP Main and Rib Fest at Moore Rd. You're either at Crittenden or Highland tonight. Please ignore any 5/16 or 5/30 games on your schedule at this point. We need to go through and update your opponents manually... So it if looks like your playing someone twice, or possibly three times, you're really not. Only look at your Fri 5/23 time/location/opponent. Those who said No or did not respond will not see a game listed for 5/23. Captains & Players of teams that are playing today will be notified shortly.

5/23/2014 9:35AM
Okay Friday teams here's the dilemma... no word yet on the availability of the Ellison fields and either way they would need to be mowed before we are able to play on them again. GVP Main is a little more underwater after Thursday morning's rain than we had expected so we have reduced fields there as well. The Rib Fest is also set up and covering all of the MooreRd, do those are completely unavailable to us tonight. So it looks like Crittenden and Highland may be our only options for today which means the only one game may be able to take place for those teams that are able to play today (5/23). Stay tuned for schedule changes and some games at 6:15 may now be pushed back to 7:15.

5/22/2014 5:49 PM
Last minute Thurs changes: MooreRd#10 moved to GVP #6, Moore Rd #18 moved to GVP #19. Online schedule can't be updated at this time... Can't do it from the phone... These moves are due to the Rib Fest Setup.

5/22/2014 4:43 PM
Some Friday 5/23 Schedule adjustments have been made. Those who responded YES or Probably/Maybe have had games moved from 5/16 to 5/23. Opponents will change for 5/30 as we had to get creative with 5/23 scheduling, if it looks like you play the same team again in a week, ignore it, it will be fixed. Locations are being finalized and we're also waiting to hear about Ellison.

We're on the ball and hoping to fit in all the games.... liiiiiiike a glove!!!! (Bob said we should write that, after seeing the "Allllrighty then" comment from last night, haha)

5/22/2014 12:15 AM
Allllrighty thennnnn, It's just after midnight and the Thursday 5/22 schedule is finalized. We'll shoot you notifications in the AM, as we're not jerks and sending text messages while you're trying to sleep. All Thurs teams have at least 1 game, the ones that did not have a double header last week will have a double header  tomorrow... er tonight... er... you get the idea....

Oh... Friday Captains/Teams, If you responded back YES to playing on Friday the 23rd, Plan on playing... about 85% said yes, 7.5 % said no/maybe... and the other 7.5% didn't respond... your opponents are likely to change and possibly play across divisions and the standings may get a little crazy, but we'll figure it out shortly... let's just get some games in... plan on playing at least 1 or more games. Friday teams that get scheduled for GVP Main MUST use the East River Rd entrance as the Elmwood entrance as well as Moore Rd fields will be closed for the Roc City Rib Fest. The Friday 5/23 schedule will hopefully be completed by late Thurs afternoon... Sat 5/31 Playoff counts and Monday final standings will also hopefully be finalized shortly as well...

OK... time for some chips and dip... the ol' brain is fried right about now and being a vegetable sounds just about like the right solution... good night.

5/21/2014 5:19 PM
Thursday Teams: We swapped some games between 5/22 & 5/29 to help us get everything in with the field conditions. We also changed all future Thurs locations to TBD. We hope to have everything posted either late tonight or at the latest by noon tomorrow. Thurs captains were all e-mailed.

5/21/2014 2:32 PM
Okie dokey... Wed Field assignments are official... see the post below for all previous changes. All Wed teams have at least (1) game tonight.
Update at 3:41pm
(corrected the word "precious" to "previous"... dang auto correct...)

(2) teams have a double header, as they have a make up game rescheduled due to travel delays with the relocation and crossing over from one side of Ellison to the other last week. This game is barely being squeezed in to help even up last weeks standings.

5/21/2014 12:27 PM
The Wednesday schedule has been tentatively modified. The 6:15 games have been piggybacked to 6:15 and 7:15. The 7:15 games were moved to this past Sunday (18th) as we need a place to put them on the schedule to keep everything organized. We labeled them as "Rainout" on your schedule (ignore these games for the time being). We're unable to get double headers in with all the standing water at portions of GVP Main and Ellison from last Fridays flooding. All game times for tonight are now accurate. Plan on playing at either the good portions of GVP Main or Highland. We'll update locations this afternoon and send notifications right after. Thank you for your patience...

5/21/2014 9:29 AM
It's looking like we may only be able to get 1 game in tonight for Wednesday teams. With Ellison's conditions uncertain, and a majority of GVP Main still with standing water on our fields, we're limited to the good portions of GVP Main and Highland. Crittenden and MooreRd are not available for kickball on Wednesdays this Spring as they are reserved for other organizations. We'll be checking out field conditions during the day. The Wed 5/21 schedule will change, plan on either a 6:15 or 7:15 game today at either GVP Main or Highland.

5/20/2014 4:04 PM
All of Highland is good to go. All Tuesday teams will play at least 1 game tonight(5/20). The North & South Divisions will have a double header. The East & West Divisions had their 7:15 games backtracked to this past Sunday (18th), as we had to put them somewhere, and we labeled them as 'Rainout". The East & West 6:15 TBD games are now piggy backed at 6:15 OR 7:15. The Online Schedule is now updated, and notifications are coming shortly... It's the best we can do with Ellison a swamp right now and and much of GVP Main still with a lot of standing water on it. If your schedule still says for 5/20, you're likely on a Desktop or laptop and your browser is loading a cached version of the schedule... right click, then select refresh/reload... that'll pull the most recent schedule update down for you.

5/20/2014 1:57 PM
Just got word that some fields are possible at GVP Main. MooreRd is OK and Critt is OK for Tues 5/20... still waiting on a Highland report though... schedule(locations) is(are) being slowly determined... stay tuned... it may be up until 4:45 that we have this finalized, but Tues  text/e-mail notifications will be sent once it's uploaded... We'll also update this article too...

5/20/2014 12:34 AM
Holy Guacamole this Spring sure is stressful... Ok... so for the most part, all the scores are up to date (minus a few discrepancies and Mon 5/19 scores). We've updated all Tues 5/20 games to be at TBD location. We should (at a minimum) be able to get in at least (1) game for all Tuesday teams. Why only one? Well, the Friday flooding put Ellison literally under 3 feet of water. The flood waters have receded, but as of yesterday Monday it was a swamp. Yes, we do have Highland again now that Lilac Festival is over, however, it's still pretty muddy. They normally use our fields for parking, but did not open them up for the last three days of the festival to prevent any additional damage. The recently opened GVP Main fields that were barely usable on Wed & Thurs (19, 4, & 5) again have standing water or are again below where they need to be on a hardness level to allow play on them. Our hope is that some of those far fields will be ready for Tuesday or at least very soon. All Tuesday teams should plan on playing at either 6:15, 7:15, or both. If we can get some divisions in with a double header, we will. We'll also check out the fields again during lunch time, and as usual this season, be waiting for hopefully better reports from the Parks Dept. Thank you all for your patience while we relentlessly try to get you all in as many games as possible.

5/19/2014 3:25 PM
We've got Critt and Moore available today, the 7:15 game was moved on the schedule to yesterday (had to put it somewhere) and noted as a rainout. The 6:15 games have been piggybacked for either 6:15 or 7:15. Everyone plays one game tonight. Notifications to come shortly...

5/19/2014 11:48 AM
Friday Captains, check your email. We just contacted you regarding last Friday postponements.

5/19/2014 10:47 AM
Super Kickball has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 8th. More details coming soon...

5/19/2014 7:37 AM
Good morning Monday kickballers, expect the schedule to change completely. We investigated areas yesterday and the effects of flooding on Friday are still present in some areas. Plan for at least 1 game at either 6:15 or 7:15... We'll be waiting for official reports from the Parks Dept...

5/17/2014 11:27 AM
Reminder: The Spring Pub Crawl is today, Saturday, May 17th. We've pushed it up two weeks due to all of the playoffs now being held on May 31st. It's a great time, we give away free raffle prizes at every stop as well as some other goodies. This event is free and open to everyone, however you must be wearing your current season kickball t-shirt to be eligible for goodies and free raffle prizes. Here's the facebook event to let us know you'll be coming: http://www.facebook.com/events/275800025932645

5/16/2014 10:15 AM
Alrighty... so all the rain last night, and forecasted rain all day today isn't going to be helping us much... All Fri 5/16 locations are currently TBD. We're planning for double headers, which we expect to be unlikely, If we have reduced parks/fields, we'll try to update to single games. Basically the 7:15 games would go away, and the 6:15 games will piggyback each other so that we can hopefully at least get one game in tonight for everyone. There's currently a flood watch for Monroe County. Ellison was unavailable yesterday, and it's highly likely to be the same tonight. You'll know when we know.... ugh...

5/15/2014 3:55 PM
Those Ellison#08/#TBD games are now moved to Crittenden #13. Thurs schedule has been updated and no more changes should be coming, notifications coming shortly to all Thurs teams. Also the Friday schedule has been tweaked, and all 5/16 locations are now TBD, (times & opponents(some changed) are now accurate). Had to tweak a lot due to the rotating for double headers and "iffy-ness" of Ellison. Hoping to get those field locations in there tonight.

5/15/2014 1:25 PM
No games allowed at Ellison tonight (Thu 5/15). Ellison #1 has been shifted to GVP Main #19 at the same times, Ellison #2 has been shifted MooreRd Fields with both games now at 7:15pm. Ellison #08 has been updated to #TBD. We have to check out which replacement field looks the best. It'll either be GVP #14, GVP #7 (Dirt), or Critt #13. Notifications for all Thurs teams coming as soon as we get that last  field straightened out. Also, some Wednesday Ellison Teams left a mess at the fields last night with cans & trash. Remember that the parks are carry-in/carry-out. It's really easy for us to figure out who's leaving garbage behind... Leaving the parks a mess is not only bad for the environment, especially in the watershed area, but reflects poorly on your team, the league, and Rochester in general. Don't be the person that prevents your team from being able to play. You should be leaving your team area in as good or better condition than you found it. Also, parking on the grass is a big big no no right now(and always) with all the rain and soft ground. please use the lots, gravel areas, or along roads whenever possible.

5/15/2014 10:12 AM
Thurs 5/15 schedule has been updated. There's currently a Flood Watch in effect for Monroe County. We've been told Ellison is "iffy", if Ellison is unplayable tonight, those teams now scheduled for Ellison will shift to either MooreRd, GVP Main, or possibly Crittenden. You'll know when we know. Once we get official reports, we'll send text/e-mail notifications of all changes. All but 2 teams have had either an location and/or time adjustment to their schedule tonight.

5/15/2014 9:39 AM
Thurs North & South Div's will have a double header tonight, East & West will have their double header on the 29th. There's a flood warning in effect, and last night's rain is pushing the boundaries of some of those "iffy" fields. Some teams are also being shifted from 6:15 to 7:15 tonight... schedule updates coming shortly...

5/15/2014 9:02 AM
Changes will be coming for tonight's Thu 5/15 schedule. Stay tuned...

5/14/2014 10:55 AM
Wed 5/14 schedule is updated, all teams are scheduled for a double header at either Ellison or GVP. Due to Lilac Fest (and the 4 fields we would normally have at Highland) there will be 1 division that rotates across the street at Ellison. Also note, we's added a new field, Ellison #10. It's over by Ellison #01 & Ellison #08. The map will be updated shortly to reflect this addition. In the event that Ellison is unavailable to us tonight due to last nights rain, all Ellison 6:15 games will shift to GVP at 7:15, and everyone's 7:15 games will be cancelled. Push notifications(text/emails) will come once we hear any reports from the parks.

5/13/2014 8:34 PM
Wed teams will play at Ellison or GVP Main, and all teams will have a double header (a 6:15 and a 7:15 game). Schedule changes coming ASAP.

5/13/2014 3:17 PM
The Wed 5/14 schedule will change drastically as late as Wed AM... stay tuned....

5/11/2014 10:19 PM
The Tues 5/13 schedule  has been updated to allow the remainder of the postponed Tues 4/22 games to take place, Most, but not all, teams will now have a double header this coming Tuesday. The entire schedule for Tues 5/13 has been updated to accommodate these updates. A notification of these updates is coming shortly to captains (only).

5/11/2014 6:06 PM
The Mon 5/12 schedule was proactively updated for some teams at Ellison & GVP. Captains(only) of teams who were affected have been notified via e-mail. Please double check your team schedule. Tuesday's 5/13 schedule is being changed completely to get in the normal 5/13 games, plus the remainder of games missed on 4/22 (so not all Tuesday Teams will have a double header this week). Notifications will go out to captains once those have been completed.

5/8/2014 4:39 PM
The Thurs 5/8 schedule has been updated/changed. The Fri 5/9 (we accidently told some Friday captains 5/10, whoops, we meant 5/9) schedule has been updated/changed to get in the remainder of the teams that still have to get in at least one of their postponed games so we can even up the standings. Please double check your schedules.

5/8/2014 10:29 AM
Well the 5/9 Thursday weather forecast has changed from earlier this week, which is super awesome as it doesn't looks like much/if any rain today/tonight. We're still unsure of the Ellison field playability. We're also hoping to alleviate parking issues at Highland as well. A few GVP Main fields will also relocate/change.

So, if you're currently at any of the Highland or Ellison fields, be prepared for a field change and potentially a 7:15pm game. If you are currently at GVP Main #04, #05, & #19, be prepared for the same changes as well. It's difficult for us adjust Highland and GVP games until we hear about Ellison, so that's where we're at.

KLOR forecasts and suspects that there will be no changes to the current MooreRd or Crittenden games (only additions to).

5/7/2014 3:19 PM
All Wed 5/7 Ellison Games moved to GVP Main at the same time. GVP #07 is playing in the Dirt Field. Parking is restricted at Highland tonight, PLEASE PLEASE CAR POOL. Side Streets are an available option for those that car pool accordingly. Ellison is unavailable for play tonight.

5/6/2014 10:10 AM
It seem like the only fields up in the air for tonight (Tues 5/6) are Ellison, If you're currently at Ellison, be prepared to relocate to Crittenden at 7:15... We'll be waiting for today's reports from the Parks Department.... and we'll let you know ASAP.

5/5/2014 5:45 PM
Alrighty, it looks like all Monday 5/5 games will get in tonight. We've gone ahead and made some proactive Tues 5/6 & Wed 5/7 changes as well, based on what we saw today. The upcoming forecast also plays a role on those changes, however each day is a new day and additional changes per the Parks Department are pending. Those captains with changes have been notified, but not the entire team, as it's more than 24 hours before those games kick off.

5/5/2014 8:30 AM
Hopefully, the 4th was with everyone yesterday, as today is "Revenge of the 5th", but if you're not a Star Wars fan, Happy Cinco de Mayo. Throw on your sombrero, grab a tasty beverage (no glass at the fields), and let's (hopefully) play some kickball tonight! We'll be awaiting reports from the Parks Department as far a fields go. We suspect there will be changes, but as long as we can get 12 fields (6 of which at Crittenden which we used Friday without any major rain of the weekend), we should be able to get all games in today, keep your fingers crossed and be prepared to either move to or from Ellison on short notice. We'll likely check out the fields ourselves during lunch as well.

5/2/2014 4:09 PM
Took a few minutes longer than anticipated, sorry for the delay. Friday schedule changes have been posted/updated, a full run down is posted on the website.

5/2/2014 3:22 PM
Major changes coming for the Friday 5/2 schedule, we have limited playing space tonight, schedule update ETA is 4:00pm... Stay tuned...

5/1/2014 2:57 PM
Thursday 5/1 games have been postponed due to ponding and flooding within the parks (per the Parks Department).

5/1/2014 12:13 PM
No word yet for Thurs games... stay tuned, we had a lot of rain last night...

4/30/2014 3:55 PM
Word came in from the Parks Department; "Due to the all-day rain yesterday and today, all fields are unplayable again today, Tomorrow is still Pending". So no Wed 4/30 games tonight. Wednesday text message postponement notifications are coming shortly.

We've begun the process of rescheduling previously postponed Wed games. Your team schedule will now list those games on 5/14 & 5/21 at 7:15 at a TBD field location. Thursday & Friday games have also had a few field/time adjustments for a small handful of teams for 5/1 & 5/2 games, as well as any previous postponements also bumped out to a later date at 7:15 on a TBD location. Just trying to get ahead of the changes here so we can figure out our referee schedules. As these Thurs & Fri changes were made within over 24 hours of game times, We will only be sending notifications to the Team Captains affected, and not text message notifications to all the team players.

Surprisingly, at this point, logistically we haven't lost the ability to make up any Wed games yet. Granted it's not the best scenario, however, as daylight is now on our side, and with hopes that the appropriate number of fields are playable and weather starts to taper off; we'll have 4 Wednesdays to get 7 games in (3 weeks of double headers). Our brains will probably explode after figuring out how to fit all these makeups in without having to relocate your team from one park to the next, but we're gonna do our best. If there's any league out there that can make it happen, it's this one.

On the bright side, we're still doing better than the Spring of 2011, where the month of April brought a record setting 5.81 inches of rain upon Monroe County, a record that stood since 1929.

4/30/2014 10:54 AM
We're forecasted to get hit with some rain this afternoon. We'll be checking out the fields this afternoon looking for 8 usable fields. The Wednesday 4/30 schedule would change drastically, but we're shooting to try and get all Wed games in tonight. If we do get the go ahead from the Parks Dept, all Wednesday teams should plan on playing at either Ellison, Highland, or GVP Main at either 6:15pm or 7:15pm tonight. That's as much as we can tell ya right now...

4/29/2014 8:04 AM
Tuesday 4/29 tentative game changes have been posted. These changes come before any notification from the Parks Dept. Notifications of changes comes before any reports from the parks, as if there are additional changes, we don't want to bombard you with e-mails/text messages. Thank you for your patience.

4/28/2014 4:06 AM
Monday's game changes have been posted. Tuesday (4/29) game changes will be similar to Monday (4/28) game changes, stay tuned...

4/28/2014 11:40 AM
There will be some Monday field and time adjustments coming. We'll get those to you ASAP.

4/27/2014 11:54 AM
The moment of truth is upon us. At 6:00pm registration for Summer Opens. Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes according to plan as far as the website goes. We were able to add a few new shirt colors for Summer. We've added Bronze, Coral, Lilac, Mint, Safety Pink, & Sundown. Sprial-Navy & Spiral Black, were replaced with Stripe-Nave & Stripe-Black, as the spiral versions were low in stock. It's a Tiger Stripe version of the usual spiral dyed versions. A few others were low in stock like Rouge, Oceana, and some of the other popular Spirals & Camos as well. Registration Deposit was dropped from $100 to $50 foe everyone to help ease the pain of some Spring Teams not being able to play just yet due to the fields not cooperating very well. We sent an e-mail on Friday with some April/May Kickball News. We'll posit the content of that shortly on the website as well.

4/25/2014 3:58 PM
The Friday Changes have been confirmed with the Parks Dept. Game ON!!!

4/25/2014 12:18 AM
The Friday Schedule for 4/25 has been updated based upon the the changes we had to make for Thursday 4/24. The online schedule has been updated. Please make sure you double check your time and field location, as many of them have been changed. This should allow us to get in all Friday games in. These initial changes come before any pending reports from the Parks Department. Thank you for your continued patience while we do our best to work with the playable fields we have available to us.

4/24/2014 5:01 PM
All Thursday games ON, Double check your field & time as they have been updated so that all teams can play tonight.

4/24/2014 2:54 PM
Thurs teams... We've been told to avoid the wet areas, We're scouting out all the fields now in hopes of getting all the games in... Changes to come ASAP, it is likely that some will be either shifted and or moved to 7:15pm games... stay tuned, we're working as fast as possible...

4/24/2014 1:33 PM
No word on Thurs Games yet, stay tuned...

4/24/2014 1:14 AM
All games that did not take place on Monday, 4/14 have been rescheduled as a double header on Monday, May 12th. The field locations for almost all Monday teams on Mon, May 12th has been changed to accommodate these updates. The Monday Schedule is now 100% up to date. We're slowly progressing through rescheduling double header make-up for the remaining days.

Side note: The Summer T-Shirt Design Contest information has also been posted on the website. We'll be sending out an April/May News e-mail either Thursday or Friday regarding a whole bunch of stuff too. Stay tuned.

4/23/2014 8:58 AM
So... based on all the rain last night and the fact that we only had access to one park on Tuesday, we're gonna guesstimate that Wednesday teams have less than a 50% chance of playing today... in the meantime, we'll be waiting for reports from the Parks Dept...

4/22/2014 4:53 PM
Magic 8-Ball keeps giving us these answers when we ask about Wednesday 4/23 games:

  • "Reply hazy try again"
  • "Ask again later"
  • "Cannot predict now"
  • "Concentrate and ask again"
4/22/2014 4:05 PM
We've shifted some games to Ellison tonight for doubleheaders. All other parks are unavailable, see the article on Tues 4/22 changes & postponements for full details...

4/22/2014 2:51 PM

Ellison is ON for tonight... waiting on more info on other areas to determine remaining moves...

4/22/2014 9:47 AM
With the rain today, We'll likely be doing something similar to the Mondays changes (where 3 games will move to new locations at the same time, and 8 games will move to new locations at 7:15). So basically, If you're currently scheduled for GVP Main or Highland as of this posting, tentatively plan on at least a location change today. We're finalizing these changes now, on top of any pending reports from the Parks Dept. We're hoping again to get all Tuesday games in tonight. If you do end of having a 7:15 game, please arrive a little early so that your game can begin promptly at 7:15. This will allow you enough daylight before the 8:20pm "Called for Darkness" time this week. if you're playing at 6:15, and your field has another game, be on time (be at your field by 6:00pm), cause you only have an hour. We'll have all the updates/changes posted ASAP.

4/21/2014 3:25 PM

Oh boy that was a heck of a lot of quick changes, but it looks like we'll be able to get everyone in tonight assuming games start on time. check out the Monday 4/21 changes article if you are unsure of your schedule, but all notifications to teams that had changes have been sent out. Thanks for your patience!!! Game On Mondays!!!

4/21/2014 2:44 PM
Monday changes coming through the pipeline as we speak... stay tuned... we're trying to get all games in tonight....

4/20/2014 9:01 PM
We walked out the fields on Easter for ya. Everything is looking really nice for games on Monday, however the front half (east half) of GVP Main is still a little damp in places, and "Lake #4" has been reduced dramatically. With that, we've come up with a few tentative changes for you already. The game that was at GVP Main #4 has been moved to Crittenden #16. GVP Main #7 Shifted about 100 feet over to  GVP Main #TEMP1. GVP Main #6 will be rotated 90 degrees (with home plate near the backstop of GVP (dirt) #7. GVP Main #5 & #19 are currently listed as TBD. We need to talk with the parks in the AM about using some space at Ellison as an alternative. We're looking at either #3, #4, #5 & #6 (whichever 2 fields are in the best condition). We should know right after lunch tomorrow if this is feasible, so if you're now listed at field #TBD, tentatively plan on Ellison. The Online Schedule was updated at 9pm tonight and reflects all current changes mentioned above. Obviously, this comes before any pending reports from the Parks for Monday, however we are thinking all of these changes will be good to go for tomorrow (Mon 4/21). Happy Easter.

4/18/2014 2:57 PM
Crittenden is playing, MooreRd #10 has been relocated to Crittenden #16 tonight and also playing (chosen at random). Highland, GVP Main, Ellison, and all other MooreRd fields are not playing. see the Fri 4/18 Changes and Postponements article for a full rundown of which teams are/not playing tonight. All teams with changes or a postponement have been updated for Fri games. Those with no changes were not notified. Almost all fields are shaping up to be ready for Monday 4/21.

4/18/2014 11:10 AM
Crittenden is looking on the up and up for tonight... If you're scheduled for there, you'll most likely be playing (Fri 4/18). About to go check out GVP and MooreRd, however we've had reports that it still may be out of commission for tonight. No word on Ellison or Highland yet... long story short, stay tuned until we finish figuring out if any moves or shifting are a possibility.

4/17/2014 2:20 PM
Thursday 4/17 games postponed... :(

4/17/2014 9:47 AM
No word yet on Thurs 4/17 games. Remember, no news is usually good news... with that, we'll have the "official kickball field scouts" out during lunch for updates on "previously played on" as well as the "we're hoping they're finally ready fields"... please be patient, as we won't likely have an update until late afternoon... Our best guess is that some fields will be ready, some will not, and we'll do our best to get in as many games/fields as possible.

4/16/2014 1:13 PM
Adding on to the previous post, Ellison needs additional time to dry out, making all parks unavailable for Wed 4/16 games. Notifications coming shortly.

4/16/2014 10:55 AM
Well, Monday games kicked off with almost 67 % of Monday teams able to get their games in... and then in rained... a lot... and then the temperature dropped... and then it sleeted... aaaaand then it snowed... and the fields were left a mess, so all Tuesday games had to be postponed. Well, now it 's Wednesday. The rain is gone, the sun has risen, but the fields are still a mess. As of 10:26am this morning we've received reports that no play will be permitted at Genesee Valley Park (which includes GVP Main, Moore Rd, & Crittenden Fields) and no play will be permitted at Highland Park. We're likely to receive another report around noon including an Ellison Update. Once we get that report, we'll update everyone on Wednesdays accordingly, but for now, if your game was scheduled for GVP Main, Highland, MooreRd, or Crittenden today, sadly you will not have a game tonight. On the bright side, you won't have to get your brand new shirt wet and muddy and you can wear jeans, leggings, or any other snazzy leg wear to have dinner and/or drinks at your social sponsor tonight as a team. That's what we'll be doing at least.

4/11/2014 3:49 PM
We received an updated map of locations within the Parks from the Parks Department that will likely still be unplayable on Monday & Tuesday. The flood waters have receded back to the river at Ellison, but the fields there are still very wet. We've been told to stay off of Ellison until Wednesday at a minimum. We'll try to send out postponement notifications for all Ellison fields ASAP. Depending on what happens this weekend, some games at the other parks might be able to take place on Monday & Tuesday. The majority of games scheduled at Crittenden may have the best bet of playing. A small handful of fields at other locations may be a possibility as well, but expect additional field specific postponements.

We'll be in touch with the Parks Dept on Monday as well to get the latest update on everything. We'll be out painting field lines this weekend, so we'll personally have a better idea of what is usable by Monday afternoon as well. We're gonna do our best to get some games in, even if it's a small handful of fields. Stay tuned to this article, as we'll update this way more often as we get into the swing of things.

4/10/2014 5:10 PM
The entire Spring Schedule is now live. Memorial Day double headers and highland moves due to Lilac Festival have been reflected. Be advised that we expect some additional postponements from the Parks Department due to the fields not being ready yet. See previous post on 4/9 (below).

4/9/2014 4:04 PM
We were contacted by the Parks Department regarding a brief status of the fields. We have been notified that there is likely a possibility of delaying games for a couple or few more days past this coming Sunday , April 13th, the "new opening day" for field use. We have been told that we will be contacted this Friday, the 11th with a status update (for Monday/Tuesday games/conditions). We will be contacted again on Monday and Tuesday (14th/15th) for a status update for Wednesday & Thursday conditions(16th/17th). At this time, no additional changes will be made to the schedule which will be posted relatively soon.

4/8/2014 5:01 PM
Captain's Meeting is over, and the Spring Schedule is 95% done. We just have to finish up the double header scheduling for Monday & Fridays due to Memorial Day weekend and then we'll upload it for everyone to see. Stay tuned for more info, as well as any updates relating to field conditions due to the late winter. Most of the prizes were distributed to the winners of the Mock Registration at the Captain's Meeting. We have a few more to e-mail/hand out.

4/1/2014 10:24 AM
We realize what day it is, and no this is not a joke. Spring Season has been pushed back a week. Please see the most recent article regarding the the start of Spring.

3/31/2014 12:59 PM
So, last night (Sun 3/30) we held a test registration for Summer. We e-mailed all of our previous captains (over 1,500 individuals) to help us out. We guess you could say that this was an "ok" turn out, as only about 80 or so unique individuals helped us out. That being said, we still amassed 369 test registrations from 6:00pm to midnight. We dropped our queue number to 15, and saw over 20 at one point in the waiting area, (about 35 + simultaneously) so props to those that helped us out. We're still giving out prizes to team numbers #1, #4, #8, #10, #17, #22, #28, #30, #44, #88, #116, #134, #178, #184, #220, #228, #236, #272, #282, & #324 that had successful registrations come through (with some duplicate winners) (#184 was one of our tests, so we just picked a name a random and awarded it accordingly). Obviously this 35+ number is no where near actual day-of registration counts but we're going to keep our fingers crossed, and keep a "Plan B" tucked in our pocket for day of summer registration as well. Winners will be contacted within the week via e-mail. We'd post the names publicly, but we don't want to violate our own privacy policy. These test team names were hilarious, and props to the female captain who basically wrote an entire story to us in just team names.

Lets do this instead, here's the winning registration team names:

#1 Kick the Registration Blues (SS)

3/24/2014 1:25 PM
Ref Meeting tomorrow at 6:00pm (Tue, mar 25th). Spring payments were due last Friday (21st @ 9:00pm). Late fees start kicking in shortly. Captain's Meeting is April 6th. Season begins April 7th. Spring Schedule is slowly being created, just waiting on a few pieces of vital info before we can finish it up. Plan for 6:15 pm games. See the schedule home page for latest updates. Summer Mock Test Load Registration is coming up on March 30th. We'll send a note to captain's so they know what the deal is with that and curbing registration issues. Summer Reg will open in Mid April, With the way holidays are falling this year, It's looking like Summer Registration will tentatively open on Sun, April 13th. E-mail us at Info@RocKickball.net is you have any questions. Oh, and Pick Up The Parks is on Sat April 26th and it looks like our "Super Secret Kickball Event" is confirmed for Sunday May 18th. We're going to both unveil and trial run a new kickball experience, that we think will revolutionize social adult kickball as you know it. Details will be forthcoming as we're still in the logistics phase. Stay tuned.

3/17/2014 11:37 AM
So last weeks heaping pile of snow wasn't cool, but it's starting to melt, so keep your fingers crossed that it's gone and dry by the 7th. We've got our Spring T-shirt orders in and we're on track to to being ready for the season. A special thanks to all the captains that got their orders in on time, it was our best order submission yet, with only a dozen people on the naughty list. With that being said, as it stands right now, We're currently at 220 teams for Spring, which is our biggest Spring ever. We're looking at the possibility of some extremely late additions ((i.e: 1 week before play begins), but that's dependent on space (space traditionally unavailable due to Spring flooding).

We've put some new gear up in the KLOR Store. We've got another Long Sleeve, a T-Shirt, a ladies Tank Top and some KLOR Sweatpants. We've also straightened out the pint glasses as the price was a little misleading before. As usual, all prices include shipping/handling.

Also, Spring Payments are due this Friday, 21st by 9pm. We'll send out a reminder e-mail shortly to all captains.

3/5/2014 3:49 PM
Voting is now underway on our facebook page for the t-shirt design, check it out. Also 60 captains left to get their spring t-shirt orders in.

3/4/2014 5:50 PM
An e-mail was sent to referees in our database announcing the 2014 Referee Interest Meeting date/time. If you did not get it, check out the article on the website with all the details.

We're finalizing the top three t-shirt designs that were submitted. Voting for the Spring T-shirt design will take place shortly on our facebook page.

Last time we checked, 103 spring captains still needed to submit their t-shirt orders. They're due at 8pm on Wed 3/5.

We have been notified that a network switch was bad that connected our website servers to the internet. This issue has been corrected now, but it may have been a contributing factor to the issues we experienced on registration day. Even for normal website updating we've noticed a significant improvement, so hopefully we've nipped at least a portion of the registration problem in the butt. We still plan on doing a "test registration" (as noted previously) to do a load test on the registration page before summer registration opens, as well as some query cleanup in the code and possibly bringing the queue number down from 50 to alleviate potential hiccups again.

And finally, "Rib Meat" picked up the 2013 Winterball Championship win after finals had to be rescheduled due to all the rain just before Feb 22nd. Both our first official March and Sunday game ever took place on March 2nd as the make up day. This historic game ended with a dual male wheelbarrow race challenge in one of the final plays. "Rib Meat" claimed the championship title over the "Poles", a two time winterball tri-division champion, in a score of 5-2.

2/26/2014 4:38 PM
Sorry for the delay in update. We're about 40 teams deep for the Spring waiting list, distributed across all 5 days. We've been able to do some initial shuffling and get some teams situated but we've technically got up until March 4th/5th (when registration would normally end) until we have any more updates for those teams. To all the other Captains that registered successfully, congrats. This is our biggest Spring season ever. To those on the waiting list, we're at the mercy of daylight, available field space, and the biggest unknown; spring flooding and Rochester weather. Our goal is actually be able to hold games, so we can't plan for fields/spaces that are typically underwater or unplayable each spring.

So back to the registration snafu. The registration page is being re-worked (again). The registration queue (for the most part) did what it was intended. The unknown variable, which we had no way of testing internally and why we were crossing our fingers, was the load. We have no way to internally test hundreds of "sessions" (individuals) hitting the queue at the same time. This is being redeveloped again, and we're going to need your help to to and break it. We'll have more info on this later, but we're contemplating a "test registration" before summer registration opens with all of our players/captains, so that we all get a chance to try and crash the website.

Winter Finals Makeups are progressing, we've contacted the three remaining captains regarding suggested make up dates as this Sat doesn't seem to work for all teams and the weather forecast seems to be holding out (even though we really want everything to start melting and warm up).

We're in the final phase of announcing the Spring Charity too, just need to finalize the paperwork.

2/17/2014 10:29 AM
We're currently recovering from last night's ambush. We had anywhere from over 400 individuals pushing and shoving to grasp a little over 200 team spots. We've actually increased  Spring capacity by a little over teams this year. Feel free to e-mail us at Info@Rockickball.net with any questions, concerns, requests or just if you want to yell at us or congratulate us.
We do appreciate your feedback. We'll provide an update on last night either today or tomorrow after we're able to sort through everything.

2/16/2014 12:45 PM
Wow, busy morning. 2014 Rules have been posted with the key changes outlined. Sunset and "called for darkness" times have been updated for 2014. Shirt colors are officially official. Winter playoff bracket has been updated. The three division champions from yesterday and their pictures have been added to the Champions page (click on the trophy icon above). These three will kick off in a hopefully friendly battle next weekend at Crittenden for the Winter Championship. We should be good to go for today. Shoot us an e-mail with any last minute questions to info@RocKickball.net and we'll try and get back to you as soon as possible. It's after 12:00pm, which means it's time to switch from coffee to a refreshing Sunday kickball kick-off beverage. Cheers to 2014!!!

2/14/2014 2:15 PM
Sorry for the delay, Winter Playoff fields have been labeled. Same format as last winter, except it's spread across two days as we didn't have to sacrifice a week due to makeups.

Games are at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 for the 15th (each division winner will get a trophy on the 15th).
Games are at 1pm and 2pm on the 22nd (the Winter League Champion will get a another larger trophy on the 22nd).

2/14/2014 12:01 PM

Happy Valentines Day, or Happy Singles Awareness Day, if you prefer. The Springle Mingle was fun last night. Thanks to Oxfords for showing us a good time. We raffled off (5) t-shirts and (2) Zip Hoodies from the KLOR Store for those who came. Rockickballers there also helped us rename the two new T-shirts styles. 009 became "OverEasy" and 014 became "Spiral-Earth".

We also had a chance to test out the new "Registration Queue", which looks/works pretty snazzily (we realize that's not a real word) and seems to be working nicely.

Here's a screen shot:

So, basically, once registration opens and you click on the registration link, everyone will be tossed into the queue, It's checks your number in line, the first 50 will then be directed to the registration page (it'll show you all the details again, just scroll down and start registering). You'll see a timer at the top of the form(after the details). You'll have 5 minutes to complete everything.

If you see something similar to the screenshot above, there's 50 people in front of you, plus whatever number you are in line. As those 50 complete their registrations, spots will begin to open, your number will decrease, and you'll eventually be redirected to the form. Easy Peasy right? Kool!

2/12/2014 11:45 AM
Updates to the T-shirts for Spring. Charcoal, Dark Brown, Paprika, Sand, Sky, Spiral-Packer, Spiral-Navy, Spiral-Sabre have been removed due to low inventory. Spruce and Special-Candy have been removed as the shirts have been discontinued. Tentative New Styles 009, and 014 have been confirmed, We'll just need to name them. These will be named along with any other available new styles once we hear back on the rest of the new ones.

2/12/2014 10:05 AM
We've added/updated our spring FAQ page to include some of the recent questions we've been getting as well as clarified/expanded on some exiting ones.

2/10/2014 4:45 PM
League wide spring info e-mail was sent out today. If you didn't get it, check your Junk/Spam folder. Still can't find it? Your e-mail address was probably submitted incorrectly. Either way, it covered the Spring Mingle, Spring Registration, and the T-Shirt contest for Spring. We basically just sent you everything that we've recently posted on the website.

2/10/2014 7:30 AM
We've confirmed that the Spring Captain's meeting will again be held at Marshall St Bar & Grill. It'd sure be a shame if we brought thousands and thousands of t-shirts and you weren't there to pick them up (nudge nudge wink wink)... cough, save the date, cough, Sunday, April 6th, cough... sorry about that, must be the seasonal allergies.

2/8/2014 7:30 PM
It sure was a chilly one out there today. All regular season winter games have been made up and completed. The Winter Playoff Bracket/Schedule has been posted. We're just waiting on a few more scores to be reported from today, and then will start making the forfeit game score adjustments according to the rules. Really wish we spent Friday night warming up the equipment/bases. It's wasn't really that fun trying to unfreeze the bases that were stuck together for 45 minutes this morning. Oh well, lesson learned (again).

Some tentative colors/styles were added to the T-shirt lineup for Spring. We're waiting to hear back from our vendor on stock levels as well as if we can even get them. Some are pretty snazzy, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

The 2014 rules are almost completed. No super major adjustments like last year, but they should be live on the website before Spring Registration kicks off.

Been having a bunch of fun trying to locate new kickballs for 2014. These are the balls we use both for games and to hopefully (shortly) sell online in the KLOR Store. Apparently the ball we had for 2013 is no longer being manufactured as the factory overseas has shut down. We played with some demo balls in a few winter games this season and had some others sent out to us, but our high expectations could not be met. We probably should have been a little nicer in some of those e-mails to the manufacturer. We have a few more leads we're working on, luckily the 2013 ball quality was much better than expected and we'll have enough to hopefully get us through the Spring.

Our 2014 equipment has arrived, which is exciting, just need to order some replacement equipment bags for the referees. Those things sure do take a beating. Speaking a referees, We'll be having a referee meeting sometime in the next few weeks. We always say the best refs are those that also play and live the game as well. So if any of you players out there are interested in working for an hour or two after the ol' day job, it's a fun way to make a few bucks. You might even make a few friends. Basic requirements are know the rules, be vocal, and show up on time. We'll help you along the way. We'd ref them all if we could, but with the number of teams and fields, it definitely takes some orchestration to make this all happen.

We're making some fun changes to the Kickball T-shirt (at least for Spring) for 2014. We're asking you to help us design the back of the T-shirt then we'll vote on the top 3 designs on the facebook machine. So, that's worth checking out.

We're still finalizing the Spring Charity, so keep a look out for that. The Pirate Toy Fund and the shelter we chose was super grateful for the holiday toy and clothing donation so thanks to everyone that helped with that. A donation was also made to the Polar Plunge this year, benefiting the Special Olympics. We've actually done that for the past few years, but it was never an official charity. It's always nice to help out kids in need when we're able to.

We've been working on a Super Secret Kickball Event for almost the last year now. The idea popped into one of our heads while walking into Wegmans one night (yes, we're always thinking about kickball). We really think the concept is top notch, revolutionary, and will blow your socks off. We have a tentative date set for this on Sat, June 21st. So freaking excited about this.

Last day of the regular season is tomorrow. Thank heavens for all the snow earlier this week.
