Furthest Kick
Self explanatory.
We 'can' do it!
One member from each team carries an empty can between their thighs and races from 2nd base to home plate. If you drop the can first, that team loses, no matter who is ahead at that point.
Don't drop the soap
Use an un-opened can. Each team gets one toss (2 people) between the 2 people of who can throw it to their partner the farthest without dropping it. At each equal distance both teams must complete a throw and then the next round they separate a few feet, repeat until you have a winner.
Hop, skip, jump
Just like in the Olympics, have the first hop from home plate; the farthest distance wins.
Flippy Cup
4 vs 4; cups and table required.
Farthest Throw
Like it sounds.
Frisbee Golf
Use a frisbee; Whoever can throw it closest to 2nd base from home, wins.
Riddle me this
Use Google with a simple Jeopardy question. One guess per team, fastest gets first guess. Repeat till there's a winner. (posted as submitted)
Arm wrestle
Yup
Push-up challenge
Most within a minute wins. You can stop to rest but not touch the ground with your body: knees, chest, hips.
Somersault race
Pitchers mound to Home plate.
2 kickballs and 4 players required (1 passer/1 receiver per team). Basically this is a foot race from 2nd to home plate but when the runner passes the pitchers mound (and not before) the QB throws him/her the ball (towards homes plate) first across the line with a caught ball wins. If you drop the ball you lose, if both teams drop it then you repeat the challenge.
HomeRun Choice Beverage Challenge
Each player starts at home plate and runs to each base where a teammate will be standing with a full can of choice beverage. The player doing the challenge has to run to 1st base, open and drink the whole beverage, then proceed to 2nd base to do the same, then 3rd. There is NO beverage at home plate, only 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The first player to touch home plate after all three beverages are finished wins.
- *This should only be done for the most serious of challenges as it involves a lot of consumption.
- **Additionally it is highly suggested that the two participants have carpooled with someone else to the game.
- *** Variations are also suggested with less consumption at each base, replaced by one or two another activities.
TIC TAC TOE
You know how the game works or just Google it. Ha!
Rap battle
Pretty self explanatory. Referee picks the winner with the best flow. Plain and simple.
Shoe Bocce / Kickball Bocce
Shoe Bocce:
Version 1: One player from each team takes one shoe from a pair and closest to an object (plate, other shoe, hat, ball, etc) thrown by ref wins. The farther the object the better.
Version 2: The ref places the ball approx 3/4's the of the way to second base (standing at home plate). Each team throws one shoe of the same pair. Closest shoe to the ball wins.
Kickball Bocce: Each team selects a bocce player. Using the game ball, challenging team "bocce's" the ball from home plate to as close to second base. Where it stops gets marked by the ref. Then the challenged team tries to get it to stop at a closer spot. Winning team is closest to 2nd base.
"Players (one player from each team) line up on home base, when the ref says go, they take off cartwheeling, to see who can get from home base to first base the fastest.
Alternate #1: Involve more of your team by extending the race. Have two additional players (one from each team) line up at first base when the original players reach them, they cartwheel back to home base for the second leg of the challenge.
Alternate #2: We have done this challenge with varying childhood moves: such as the wheelbarrow, bear crawl, etc. "
From second base to home place choose 2 players from each team to participate in the wheel barrel race.
A player from each team stands near home base and must touch their forehead to the end of a plastic bat and touch the other end to the ground and spin around the bat a pre-determined number of rotations (usually 5 or 10). After completing the spins, one player will run toward first base while the other is sent in the direction of third base. The first player to round the diamond touching each base on their way around and return to home base wins the challenge.
Variations:
- Shotgun a beverager before starting spinning.
- Each player fills their plastic bat with a beverage, shotgun bat-beverage, then same as above.
- Before spinning, each player kicks a ball (as far as they can). Each player must retrieve the ball kicked by their opponent. Spin as described above. Retrieve ball kicked by your opponent and bring ball back to home base.
